About a month ago I got an email from the Rachel Ray show asking me if I would share some money saving tips with them. I sent in a quick outline of a few money saving tips off the top of my head and then wrote “I would love to be on the show!” I got an email back saying, well, we were actually hoping that you would want to send in a “Hey Rachel video!” to play at the beginning of the show. “Oh okay!” (This is where the Lord taught me a little humility, but I was still thrilled.)

I very excitedly created a few videos with hubs (my fabulous producer), and sent them in. Boy was that fun in itself. I got to say “Hi sweet FedEx friend, I need to overnight this to the Rachel Ray show and here is their secret payment code.” It really doesn’t take much to excite me. (They are going to email me if one of my videos is chosen, so I will keep you posted.)

In the mean time, I am living vicariously through my friend Erin at 5DollarDinners. She was chosen to be on the show -today! I am so excited for her I can barely contain myself! (She was also one of the winners of WalMart’s free groceries for a year!) So tune in to your local Rachel Ray show Tuesday and check out her interview!
