I didn’t go into much detail last time, but I have asked my mom and a few friends, are you following the blogs from the Compassion trip to Kolkata? And they said What?

So I realized that I need to tell you more information about this amazing trip and the people who are there! First Kolkata is where Mother Teresa lived and had an amazing ministry. She was buried there and her room is still set up there for visitors to see. The bloggers that went on this trip that I follow are Melissa Fitzpatrick LPM Blog ~ (also Amanda Jones and Beth Moore write as a family on LPM) and Angie from Audrey Caroline. You will want to keep up with this trip and please keep them in your prayers.

About a month ago I got an email from the Rachel Ray show asking me if I would share some money saving tips with them. I sent in a quick outline of a few money saving tips off the top of my head and then wrote “I would love to be on the show!” I got an email back saying, well, we were actually hoping that you would want to send in a “Hey Rachel video!” to play at the beginning of the show. “Oh okay!” (This is where the Lord taught me a little humility, but I was still thrilled.)

I very excitedly created a few videos with hubs (my fabulous producer), and sent them in. Boy was that fun in itself. I got to say “Hi sweet FedEx friend, I need to overnight this to the Rachel Ray show and here is their secret payment code.” It really doesn’t take much to excite me. (They are going to email me if one of my videos is chosen, so I will keep you posted.)

In the mean time, I am living vicariously through my friend Erin at 5DollarDinners. She was chosen to be on the show -today! I am so excited for her I can barely contain myself!
