I am so excited at my great Black Friday finds! Here’s the lowdown!

I tried to buy a carseat a few weeks ago and Target had to cancel my order because they had mismarked a Britax Marithon down to $40! (They sent an I’m sorry email and explained that they have a contract with them and can’t sell it for less. So they sent me a $25 egift card as an apology. Nice!) I also had a $5 Target gift card in hand. I was able to buy two Leapster games for my oldest son for $2 each since they are on sale for $15 at Target this weekend! Then I set my alarm and at 3 am I had everything set up to snag a Leapster online at Walmart for $30! Regularly $50. All the items together would have cost me $100 total and I got them for ($30+$2+$2) $34! Yeah!

Then Friday I checked out the great deals at CVS that we talked about last week. There are so many free things!  I had a $25 CVS gift card that I have been saving from getting a prescription filled so I brought that to use today. I ended up getting $130 in items for $9 out of pocket and still getting $10 extra bucks back! I have not been to CVS much since we moved here because of unpacking boxes and my husband’s coaching schedule. So it was a HUGE thrill to get back in the CVS game! I even went back today for the B1G1 free toy sale and used my extra bucks to get some toys for our cousins for Christmas! The best part was the make up. I just got an email alert that Travelzoo, has just announced that American Airlines has slashed their prices as low as $70 each way! Here’s what to do:

You may know that Walmart price matches other store’s ads for their groceries, but did you know that Walmart price matches TOYS and ELECTRONICS and other items? Oh yes they do!  So technically if you plan your trip out right, you don’t really have to wait at a store all night to hopefully get your hands on one of five available door busters at a specific store. Check with Walmart and see if they carry an item you are looking for on Black Friday in the same brand. If they do, just bring the competing store’s ad there on Friday morning and you can have an rather enjoyable pain free shopping experience! Update: Here’s a press release I just found announcing this for this year. Does anyone know what time Walmart is starting their Black Friday online?

I do end up going to other stores, such as CVS, BBW, The Home Depot and Best Buy but that usually occurs after the more competitive shoppers have headed home for a nap!
