How does moving effect your coupon shopping? You may leave your favorite stores and your friendships with cashiers (that are invaluable) behind. The good news is that after you unpack, it is still possible to find your coupon groove again and get a fresh start!

Here are 3 easy steps to getting back your coupon groove after moving (or to get in the coupon groove if you are a beginner and have never done this before!)

  1. Join a local yahoo group that emails out coupon deals in your area. In the Dallas area I used a group called DFW Coupon Cuties. I recently found a group in New England called New England Couponing. To find a group near you, go to Yahoo Groups and search for “coupons” and “(the name of your town or area).” This will be a huge help.
  2. Look on forums such as Hot Coupon World , A Full Cup , Refund Cents or The Coupon Mom! These are great places to find deals.
  3. Find a friend who knows how to coupon that can help you. I was at a playdate with a moms group and the host mom, Tina, had a pantry that looked like this:pantry   I knew instantly that I had a coupon friend. A friend from church, Sandi, ended up being a CVS guru as well!

Do you have any other ideas for getting back in your coupon groove? Last week I got back into my groove a little bit. I spent $43 in groceries for the whole week. This week I blew my chances of that when I went to stock up at our local discount wholesale store and spent $100, but because of their great stuff, I may be able to go another week with only buying a few basics!
