I have not posted much this week and I wanted to asked you to pray for me. I have been having migraines (for the first time) and they occur every afternoon during which I have to rest and am also having some nausea. (I know what you are thinking but that’s not the case so far!) I think it has something to do with my vision changing. I finally got in for an eye exam last week (they were booked for weeks) and should have new glasses in a few days.
Along with this new obstacle of migranes, I left my SUV at my in-laws house over the weekend during the Women of Faith conference. While it was there, a teenager keyed my SUV as well as four other cars in the neighborhood. I’ve never really cared about a small ding or scratch on my vehicle (those things happen) but now I have a huge piece of artwork on the side of my car and on my hood. I have a $500 deductible to get it fixed. My SUV will still get us from point A to point B. Getting the paint fixed is actually not a necessity but something that I want and am struggling with. I know God will either provide for us or change my heart about wanting my vehicle fixed. Somehow, my struggles have made me cling to God even more and I am so thankful for my two boys and my amazing hubsband! Thanks for all your encouragement on here as well!

The Women of Faith conference in Philadelphia this weekend did not disappoint. It was awesome! Nicole C Mullen has awakened my soul from any feelings of grieving I may have had of powerful Texas worship. (If you live in Texas: Don’t take that great worship for granted, ya’ll!) Please pray for all the families that lost power and homes in hurricane Ike in my hometown (Houston, Texas) and other areas as well. My parents were very blessed and are visiting family and had no damage to their home. For all of our friends who live in the affected areas of any of the last few hurricanes, we love you and are praying for you!
