Growing up I had a slight obsession for arcade basketball. I loved playing it and my dad would take me to the arcade and somehow I would usually end up hussling other guys. (Not for money but just for the sheer fact that they thought they felt they could beat me.) At my MOPS group a few weeks ago the speaker asked us to think of something we used to do for entertainment before we had kids. I immediately thought of arcade basketball. A few days later while I was at the Women of Faith Conference I noticed three arcade basketball games set up behind the scenes. I told God, at that moment, that if it was cool with Him, I would love to have an arcade basketball game someday. Fast Forward two weeks…

This Saturday I took my five year old on our weekly date to The Big Red Barn Sale and you are not going to believe what we found. YES, you guessed it, someone had donated an arcade basketball game. My heart started racing when I saw it and I pulled Landon towards it. ”Do you think we should get this?” I asked. “YES!” he said. I went up to the lady incharge and asked her how much it would cost. She said “Is it for you?” “Yes!” “Then, you can have it for FREE!” FREE? God answered my prayer! I have always, always secretly wanted an arcade basketball game and now I get to enjoy it with my own children!

Needless to say, It is hours and hours of family fun!

Isn’t it neat how God even cares about the little trivial things in life, like arcade basketball!! What a great story!
