Check out Shannon's Works for me Wednesday on Kitchen organization ideas and I might have some if we didn’t just -you know- move across the country.

Rashguard Picture: My cool boy in his new rash guard.

Sun Protection Zone sent me a rash guard and rash guard bands for a review. Landon loves his rash guard suit. The quality of the rash guard is very good. The price is a little high at $30 but if you are concerned about sun protection, it is well worth it. I like the fact that the one we received has long sleeves because in the North, the water is almost always cold. This means that we can swim longer and enjoy the water more. Living on a lake, our Sun Protection Zone Rash Guard is perfect for us. They even have some on clearance right now!

Growing up I had a slight obsession for arcade basketball. I loved playing it and my dad would take me to the arcade and somehow I would usually end up hussling other guys. (Not for money but just for the sheer fact that they thought they felt they could beat me.) At my MOPS group a few weeks ago the speaker asked us to think of something we used to do for entertainment before we had kids. I immediately thought of arcade basketball. A few days later while I was at the Women of Faith Conference I noticed three arcade basketball games set up behind the scenes. I told God, at that moment, that if it was cool with Him, I would love to have an arcade basketball game someday. Fast Forward two weeks…

This Saturday I took my five year old on our weekly date to The Big Red Barn Sale and you are not going to believe what we found. YES, you guessed it, someone had donated an arcade basketball game. My heart started racing when I saw it and I pulled Landon towards it. ”Do you think we should get this?” I asked. “YES!” he said. I went up to the lady incharge and asked her how much it would cost. She said “Is it for you?” “Yes!” “Then, you can have it for FREE!” FREE? God answered my prayer! I have always, always secretly wanted an arcade basketball game and now I get to enjoy it with my own children!

Needless to say, It is hours and hours of family fun!

I have to thank Ashlyn at Sashwhy’s Studio for this awesome blog makeover! The new look fits the site perfectly! I love it! If you ever need a makeover head over and check out Ashlyn’s work. She is really good at what she does and she is affordable too!

This morning I woke up to find my ads spaced out perfectly, which was really exciting to me because as a math teacher (turned stay at home mom) I love things that are symmetric (or in this case with equal spacing). It made my day!

You must sign up to pay for your plan via paypal and keep your plan for one month after the trial is over. At this time you may cancel your plan if you so desire. The $11.99 plan allows you to rent one movie at a time and rent two in store per month. (I usually keep the plan until I have seen all the movies I want to see.) Click on the blockbuster icon at the top left to see the deal.

netflix

Netflix has a plan where you can have one move at at time mailed to you and can download unlimited movies to your computer for $8.99. Netflix lets you rent, watch and return DVDs from home - Try it free for 2 weeks. Has anyone tried this? Is the selection of movies a good selection? I think I am interested in trying this to download the movies onto my computer.

You can always check out movies at your local library for free. (A great thing to do after storytime with the kids.)

You can check out movies at a Redbox stand (usually in your local grocery store). The cost is 99 cents a day. There are usually codes for a free movie from them at various times. My only problem with Redbox is that I don’t go into the same town everyday and each day is an extra 99 cents.
What is your favorite method to rent movies? Check out Shannon’s Works for Me Wednesday!
