Blockbuster Online has a large selection of new and pre-owned DVDs that you can buy. (You don’t have to be a member to buy, but if you are, you do get a discount of 5-10% extra off.) Use online coupon code augappreciation for $10 off a $10 purchase. (Thinking about becoming a member? Here’s a special sale link I found Try Blockbuster Free for Two Weeks, then plans as low as $3.99 per month. )
If you select only pre owned movies, you get free standard shipping! The discount will show before you need to confirm your order. This code is valid until August 31st. (Thanks Wisebread!)
My Bargain Bag~ My mom snapped this pic of me at Kohl’s! She is here visiting me for the first time in Connecticut! Yea! We went to the mall and had such great finds!
- First, I used my $5 off Kohl’s coupon that they emailed me for signing up for their email list. I got boys swimsuits that were on clearance for $4 each for next year. With the coupon they were $1.50 each!
- I went to Borders to pick up my free $5 item from (a past deal) that was shipped to their store, a dvd for my 2 year old!
- At JCPenney, I noticed that they had $10 off a $10 purchase coupons lurking around while we walked past the checkout. A manager just happened to be there, so I mentioned that we moved and I had not received any coupons in a long time. She walked right over and handed me a $10 off $10! We got my 4 year old some Superman and Scooby Doo ”tighty whities” (underwear) for $1 a box with the coupon! Rule of thumb, never shy away from asking for coupons! If a store employee has them, they are very likely to give them to you.
- We headed over to Walgreens and did the awesome diaper deal to get diapers for $1.50 each!

If you are a serious coupon shopper, it is strongly recpmmended that you buy 1-6 or more Sunday newspapers a week. Why? For the Sunday coupon inserts, of course!
- That could cost you up to $12 a week if you buy the paper outright.
Here are 5 ways you can get them for free:
- Use your CVS extrabucks to get them!
- Find a free newspaper that includes coupon inserts. In Dallas, there is a free green colored newspaper stand called El Dia. This paper has most of the inserts that were included in the Sunday paper for in it for free. I’ve heard that in Connecticut The New Haven Advocate has free Sunday inserts in them.
- I have one friend who checks her neighborhood recycle bins and I have a super stealthy friend who dumpster dives.
- I know someone who goes to local hotels to get the extra coupons they don’t use. Some hotels are required to take the coupons out of the Sunday papers and are more than happy to give them to you.
- Ask your friends and family. You might be surprised that they would love to share coupons with you. My mom and mother-in-law both share their coupons with me. My super sweet grandma cuts and mails me them sometimes as well.
How many Sunday coupon inserts do you buy? Where do you find them? Do you know of a paper that offers free coupons in your area? Please share!
Walgreens has their Comfort Stretch diapers on sale for 2 for $11.98. Use the $5 off 2 coupon from the August EasySaver catalog and the $2 off coupon from the $50 pharmacy booklet. You’ll need to get the $50 coupon brochure from the pharmacy. According to page 60 of the July Easy Saver catalog, “Visit the pharmacy to see how much you can save and get $50 in coupons, just for asking.” The total price with both coupons will be 2 for $2.98 or $1.50 per pack. (Thanks Refund Cents!)

Here’s a $2 off $10 purchase coupon for CVS! (Go to page 30 to print it!)
This week you can also get a free item. Here’s the details:
When an ExtraCare card holder makes a purchase at CVS/pharmacy, they will receive a coupon for a free product. This instant reward coupon will appear on the receipt during each shopper’s first visit in August. Each card holder is eligible for one free gift. The free item varies from CVS Pharmacy brand allergy medicine to school supplies.
Does your location have a coupon center? It looks like a scanner and you can scan your card first to see if any coupons print. I scanned my card a few days ago and extrabucks printed along with some great coupons! (I got a $4 off $20 on Playschool diapers.) You can also print $2 off Playschool diaper coupons here! (You will need to register to print them.)
