Someone wrote me a while ago asking about what to do when someone copied their blog posts onto another website. I’ve read that you can send them a polite email asking them to please remove your material. It turns out, I had to do that myself today! Someone not only copied my deals, but copied pictures of my kids onto their blog!  They seem to be copying a lot of other bloggers deals. Does anyone have any info on how to report a SPAM blog? If so I would love any info you may have! I really want to strive to keep this blog a safe place to post!

I don’t know how to report this but I too found some of my posts copied word for word on other blog sites??? They did link back to my blog so I didn’t worry too much about it… but now reading this hmmmmm???

Are you around this weekend? If so, e-mail me and let me know when is a good time to give you a ring. Sorry it has taken a while to get back to you.

    Blessings!

Oh, that’s not good. I’m wondering how you found out this was copied on their blog. I’m glad you found it, nonetheless. I’ve seen some people have some sort of “copyright” for all the info that they publish. I don’t know what that entails, but it might be worth looking into.

What a shame. Blogging is hard work. It is too bad that some folks try and take the easy way out and step on the hard work of others.

I think I have a copyright at the bottom of my page. I found out because they linked me.

I would definetly just put a copyright note on your pictures. My MIL was very happy when she saw I was doing that. But yes, they can crop them out but that is a lot more work for them and then you also have the original picture showing it is yours.

I don’t know how to get them to stopy copying your text but it looks like you have notification of that already. But I would send them a note that you would appreciate it if they would not copy pictures of your kids on their blog. :-)

Wow! Sorry about that. Not sure how you can report a SPAM blog, other then reporting it to their Blog Host. Also, I know quite a few Blogs that are right clicked disabled and use a service called CopyScape. Maybe you can right click disable your blog. Then everyone would have to link back to your blog!! Good luck!

That’s too bad! I hope they remove the pictures. They are a Wordpress blog so I think you can report them to Wordpress directly.

Yes. Anyone can copy anything you have put on the internet. Maybe we should rethink about putting our kids pictures on our blogs!

Wow…I don’t know if you should be honored to know that someone thinks so highly of your posts or freaked out because you’re being blog-stalked!

I must admit that I sometimes ask my fellow bloggers if I can link their information from my blog. This being said, I ALWAYS give them the credit and send my readers to their blog as well. Copying pictures of someone’s children… I WOULD NOT DO!! I’m very protective of my kiddos.

The copycat blog has lifted more info from your blog. Have you looked into the right click disable or anything else? I am very sorry that this copycat person is out there doing this to beloved bloggers.
