There were many times in my “mommy hood experience” of 4.5 years that I have though, “You know, I don’t even have time to take a shower, so why should I have time to spend time with God everyday?” I also thought to myself, “I am in a rough season with small children, I’ll check in with God on a more consistent basis when things calm down.” I then realized that this was a HUGE excuse. God showed me that now is the time that I need Him the most! I would have to spend time with Him as much as possible. I encourage YOU to spend time with God each day, maybe in the morning before you get on the computer. Get in a MOPS (Mother’s of Preschoolers) group if you are not in one and surround yourself with uplifting friends who will encourage you. Don’t believe that you are going to “pull up” a friend that is negative. Only God can pull them up, and unfortunately you cannot. Negative friends will pull you down. 1 Corinthians 15:33 Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.” Choose your best friends wisely. Surround yourselves with Godly friends who encourage you so when a time comes that you need it, you will have someone to pray with you who truly cares for you.

My heart is so content with joy when I hear about someone’s testimony of God’s goodness. I want to share my testimony of our move with you. (I was blessed to share it with my MOPS group yesterday.) We have been planning our move to Connecticut for almost a year and it has been a time when we have had to trust God 100% . Although we tend to forget quite often, we soon remember that we can’t rely on ourselves for something this big.

We put our rental house on the market 5 months ago. We were at the point where it was time to possibly start to worry if it would sell or not, we did not have a single offer. That Monday, we went over to the house to pray that it would sell; on Wednesday our realtor called and said we had an offer; on Friday we had negotiated and everything was signed. God is good!

We went to Connecticut to look at houses. The house we close on in two weeks was listed for sale the night before the last day we looked at houses. It was the very last house we looked at and it was perfect for us. God gave us a beautiful snow as we were looking at it. We prayed whether that house was supposed to be the house we were to live in. (There was another house that was nice that was being considered as well that was in another city.) My father-in-law prayed about it later that week and then opened his Bible. This is what he read, 2 Samuel 2: Then it came about afterwards that David inquired of the LORD, saying, “Shall I go up to one of the cities of Judah?” And the LORD said to him, “Go up ” So David said, “Where shall I go up?” And He said, “To Hebron.” My husbands name is David and the house with the snow was in a city named Hebron. God is good!

We put our house for sale. We waited three weeks, then the first buyer came to look at our house. They put a full offer on our house! (I had a dream before hand that the first person who looked at our house made a full offer, and through this dream God game me a total peace about listing it for sale.) God is GOOD!

I could go on telling you about of God’s goodness but now I want to ask you, is there something you need to trust God with? It could be little, it could be huge; the great part is, God is HUGE and He even cares about the little things in your life. He wants you to trust Him with everything.

Landon was asked to be in his very first commercial yesterday. I met a contact (and now great friend) at a yard sale and ended up teaching her how to use coupons. She called me and wanted Landon to be in a commercial.

Landon did so great while they were taping, I am so proud of him. If you know him, he is sometimes shy, so I was very unsure of how this would turn out.
