There were many times in my “mommy hood experience” of 4.5 years that I have though, “You know, I don’t even have time to take a shower, so why should I have time to spend time with God everyday?” I also thought to myself, “I am in a rough season with small children, I’ll check in with God on a more consistent basis when things calm down.” I then realized that this was a HUGE excuse. God showed me that now is the time that I need Him the most! I would have to spend time with Him as much as possible. I encourage YOU to spend time with God each day, maybe in the morning before you get on the computer. Get in a MOPS (Mother’s of Preschoolers) group if you are not in one and surround yourself with uplifting friends who will encourage you. Don’t believe that you are going to “pull up” a friend that is negative. Only God can pull them up, and unfortunately you cannot. Negative friends will pull you down. 1 Corinthians 15:33 Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.” Choose your best friends wisely. Surround yourselves with Godly friends who encourage you so when a time comes that you need it, you will have someone to pray with you who truly cares for you.
I promise I’ll get back to bargain shopping!
I changed Frugal Friday and am panning on doing it on the First Friday of every month so get your posts ready for May! We want to see them!
Love,
The Bargain Shopper Lady

I agree–MOPS is GREAT! I moved here 3 years ago, not knowing anyone and MOPS has been a great way to make some really great friends and have women who encourage me both in my faith and as a mom.

I don’t do MOPS, but I am involved in BSF (Bible Study Fellowship). Great time with God, in the Word and the accountability of sisters in Christ.
