I got a haircut last month and I decided to let the young girl have fun with it and cut lots of layers. My friend Lizla pulled it off, so I thought I could as well. Not so!
I did what every mom would do, I tried to convince myself all month that I liked my hair. Not one person said, “I like your hair” more like “You did something to your hair.” That’ s a bad sign. I finally admitted that I didn’t like my haircut. The problem was I had just paid for a haircut and I am a bargain shopper, so I am not about to go out and get a new cut the same month. The solution, I decided was that I would let my husband cut my hair. I wanted a bob, straight across, how hard could that be? And if he totally messed it up I could easily run in to the nearest shop and get it fixed right? You are going to be so surprised because this story is not going where you thought… It turns out my hubs did a fantastic job, I had to fix a few strands, but I love my haircut! Thank goodness for Super Hubs- my husband of all trades did a great job! (Did I mention that he can cook too?)

I LOVE my husband but I’m not so sure about giving him scissors and letting him anywhere near my hair! Thank goodness your bravery paid off and your husband did a great job - how wonderful for you, now you don’t have to even leave your house or open your wallet to get a haircut!

I did the same thing once. My hair was really long and I got the crazy idea to chop it all off. He cut off about 10 inches. WOW! He did a pretty good job though. But he isn’t my regular barber

Yes, definitely very brave, my friend!! BUT, I can wait to see your new du! Maybe he can trim my bangs cuz my hairdresser can’t seem to get it right…lol!

I’m glad your happy with your haircut. I have my boyfriend cut my hair too; he cuts it neatly in the back and I layer up the front.

My husband has been cutting my hair for a few years now. Every paid for cut I’d get would later frustrate me or bring me to tears, and he concluded why pay for that when he can make me cry for free. I’m happy to report, he actually does better then any other stylists I’ve ever gone to … even if I still cringe each and every time while pondering my sanity as the curls hit the floor.
