A Stranger Gave the Most Precious Gift To My Husband and I over the holidays. I want to share the sweet story.
My husband and I took our 22 month old to breakfast with us on a date. A very young man came in to eat while we were there and he smiled at our son a bunch. When it was time to leave I went to the cashier with my debit card and she said she was very sorry but the small restaurant only took cash. A little embarrassed, I got directions to an ATM to get some cash. While we were leaving, the young man came up to us and said I overheard your situation and I want to pay for your breakfast. He went on to say” You have really blessed me this morning. My wife and I have an 18 month old and are going through a lot right now in our marriage. I saw you pray before you ate and how you were with your son and it blessed me so much that I would love to pay for your meal in return.”
I was so thankful for his giving heart that I was almost in tears. It is such a rare thing that a stranger would be so kind.

Thank you for sharing your story. It reminded me of several sweet times that the Lord has been very specific in blessing my family.

This past year of our lives has been filled with random acts of kindness - it has been a very difficult one, but God has been faithful to pour out so many blessings such as this one. Our son was dx with a brain tumor October 2006 - during this year I have been overwhelmed by receiving gift cards in the mail, meals, having my home cleaned …. and yes, several times we have been eating out and our waitress would tell us that our meal had been covered …. we would just sit there in disbelief and then thank Him for His goodness ….. we serve a gracious Heavenly Father. I do have a blog, but I really have no idea how to do the link thingy - would love to do that, but not sure how :). So, thought I would just share here. Glad to find to your site!

Yesterday I was on my way out with my 2 yr old, 1 yr old, and 2 month old. We live in an ok place, but everyone keeps to themselves pretty much. This was the second time since my youngest was born that I had left the house, just me and the kids. I was so nervous and struggling to coax my two yr old down the stairs, when out of nowhere our neighbor, who is a mother of 8 children, walked up and asked if I needed help. I am not social at all (which is why I have no blog or need to start one) I usuaaly shy away from help because I have anxiety issues, but I humbly accepted. I was worried about my messy car and the runny nose my son would not let me wipe. All this lovely woman commented while she held the kids as I began strapping the kids into the car was how cute my children ared how she remembers what it is like to have so many little ones. I feel we are where we are supposed to be and have been so very blessed.

What an awesome double blessing. Your family blessed the young man without even knowing it and then he in turned blessed you all. It is so cool to know about good hearted people in our world.
Our family has received many blessings over the past couple of years, one I blogged about last week. I added it to Mr. Linky.
I just discovered your blog and it already is a blessing to me. Thank You.

I am taking your challenge on both my blogs as I think it is a good idea to share blessings. We all need encouragement from time to time. God is so good and His blessings need to be shared!

I had just had my second baby and we went out to eat at Red Lobster about a few days after I got out of the hospital. I was so excited to have crab legs after eating hospital food for so long. We ate our dinner and this lady was watching us eat and she kept smiling at us and we smiled back. When it came time to get the bill, the server said there was no bill because this nice lady took care of it. I was in complete shock that someone would be that generous. the server said she told him that watching our family made her so happy and reminded of when her babies were little. I cant wait to do the same for a family one day.

This touched my heart so much!! I try so hard to do things like this all the time. I think we all should practice blessing others on a regular basis!
Happy New Year!
